Here's exactly what to expect from the moment you apply to your first day at work.

About ShoreAgents

ShoreAgents is an offshore staffing agency based at Philexcel Business Park, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. We hire full-time, office-based Filipino professionals to work exclusively for our Australian and New Zealand clients in roles including:

  • Virtual Assistants
  • Bookkeepers and Accountants
  • Customer Service Representatives
  • Social Media Managers and Marketing Specialists
  • Graphic Designers
  • IT Support
  • Data Entry Specialists
  • HR and Admin Coordinators

Our team members enjoy competitive salaries, HMO coverage, complete government benefits, 13th month pay, and a supportive professional work environment โ€” with day shift hours that keep life balanced.

Step 1: Find a Role and Apply

Where to Find Open Positions

  • Careers website: shoreagents-careers.com โ€” our primary jobs listing page
  • Email: Send your resume directly to recruitment@shoreagents.com
  • Job boards: We may also post on platforms like Jobstreet, Indeed, or LinkedIn

What to Submit

  • Updated resume / CV โ€” Tailored to the specific role you're applying for
  • Optional: Cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and why you want to work at ShoreAgents

Tips for Your Application

  • Match your resume to the role โ€” Highlight the skills most relevant to what the job description asks for
  • Include specific achievements โ€” Not just "managed social media" but "grew Instagram following by 40% in 6 months"
  • List your software proficiency โ€” Xero, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Salesforce, etc. โ€” be specific
  • Keep it clean and professional โ€” No typos, consistent formatting, readable font

Step 2: Initial HR Screening

Once your application is received, our HR/Recruitment team reviews your resume against the requirements for the role.

If you're shortlisted: You'll receive an invitation for an initial screening โ€” typically via phone call or brief video call.

What the screening covers:

  • Confirmation of your background and experience
  • Basic English communication assessment
  • Clarification of your availability, expected salary, and interest in the role
  • Brief overview of the ShoreAgents opportunity

Duration: Typically 15โ€“30 minutes

Tips:

  • Answer your phone during business hours โ€” or check your email regularly if we haven't been able to reach you
  • Be ready to speak clearly and professionally โ€” this is your first communication impression
  • Know the role you applied for and be ready to speak about why you're interested

Step 3: Skills Assessment

Depending on the role, you may be asked to complete a skills assessment before or after the first interview. This varies by position:

| Role | Typical Assessment | |------|-------------------| | Data Entry | Typing speed and accuracy test | | Bookkeeper | Practical bookkeeping exercise (Xero/Excel) | | Graphic Designer | Design task or portfolio review | | Social Media Manager | Content brief or sample post creation | | Customer Service | Written communication or situational test | | IT Support | Technical troubleshooting scenarios |

Assessments are typically completed online or at our Clark office, depending on the role and circumstances.

Tips:

  • Practice before your assessment โ€” if you know you'll be tested on typing, practice on Keybr.com or similar tools
  • For design roles, prepare and organize your portfolio before applying
  • For bookkeeping roles, review your Xero or Excel skills beforehand

Step 4: Interview with the Hiring Team

Shortlisted candidates are invited to a formal interview. This may be:

  • In-person at our Philexcel Business Park office in Clark Freeport Zone
  • Online via Zoom or Google Meet (for candidates based further away)

Who You'll Meet

  • HR Representative / Recruitment Officer โ€” Assesses culture fit, communication, and general qualifications
  • Team Lead or Department Manager โ€” Assesses role-specific skills, experience, and potential
  • In some cases, a brief client introduction โ€” For certain roles, you may meet or be introduced to the Australian client during later stages

Interview Format

  • Introduction and background discussion
  • Role-specific questions about your experience and skills
  • Situational or behavioral questions ("Tell me about a time when...")
  • Questions about working with international clients and in a BPO environment
  • Your questions for us โ€” always prepare some!

Interview Tips

  • Research ShoreAgents before your interview โ€” know what we do, who our clients are, and what the role entails
  • Prepare examples using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) for behavioral questions
  • Dress professionally โ€” Business casual or above for in-person; neat and professional for video interviews
  • Be honest โ€” About your experience, your skills gaps, and your career goals. We prefer authenticity.
  • Ask thoughtful questions โ€” About the team, the client, growth opportunities, and expectations

Step 5: Background and Reference Check

After a successful interview, we conduct:

  • Reference checks โ€” We may contact previous employers to verify your work history and performance
  • Document verification โ€” Pre-employment requirements are confirmed (NBI, government IDs, etc.)

This is a standard process. Be honest about your history โ€” any discrepancies between what you stated and what references confirm can result in withdrawal of the offer.

Step 6: Job Offer

If you've passed all stages, congratulations โ€” you'll receive a formal job offer! This includes:

  • Your job title and description
  • Monthly salary and benefits package
  • Start date
  • Employment terms (probationary period, notice period, etc.)

Review the offer carefully. If you have questions about any terms, raise them with HR โ€” we're happy to explain.

Offer acceptance: Sign and return your signed offer letter by the deadline provided.

Step 7: Pre-Employment Requirements Submission

Once you accept the offer, you'll be given a list of pre-employment documents to submit before your start date. These typically include:

  • NBI Clearance (valid within the year)
  • Pre-employment medical exam certificate
  • SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG numbers
  • TIN number
  • Birth certificate (PSA authenticated)
  • Government-issued ID
  • Transcript of Records and Diploma

Submit these as quickly as possible โ€” incomplete requirements can delay your start date.

Step 8: Onboarding and Day One

Your first day at ShoreAgents includes:

  • HR Orientation โ€” Company policies, code of conduct, benefits enrollment, leave rules
  • Workstation setup โ€” Computer, email, system access
  • Team introductions โ€” Meet your colleagues and team lead
  • Client briefing โ€” Introduction to the Australian or NZ client you'll be supporting
  • First-week roadmap โ€” Clear outline of what you'll be doing in your initial weeks

Our team is here to support you from Day One. Don't hesitate to ask questions โ€” that's what we're here for.
